The proposal, which the Raleigh News & Observer reports was unanimously approved by the state’s Senate Commerce Committee on Thursday, would apply to all car manufacturers, but the intended target is clear.”*
North Carolina lawmakers want to effectively ban Tesla, the electric car company, because of “unfair” competition. Of course, the bill is being pushed by the state automobile dealer’s association and the bill’s sponsor took the maximum amount of campaign contributions from that group. Lovely.
